Welcome to Rooted Acres!! We’re a small hobby farm located in Kemptville, ON, run by Tiffany and Conor.
Tiffany owns PROCARE Family Centre and has been working with children and families for 20+ years. She grew up taking Horse Riding Lessons and loves combining her skills working with horses and families🐴. Conor was raised on a dairy farm and is passionate about country living, farming and working outdoors 🤠
Together, we’re excited to be offering families a safe, fun and private farm experience. The outdoor space is set up for children to play and explore different stations while being around the animals. Riding is available but not required. Tiffany will ensure your time at Rooted Acres is fun, educational and nature will do it’s job filling your body with health benefits. Being in nature and around animals is good for the soul and can be considered “healing” for all ages.
Tiffany is happy to book your family in for a private farm experience. Her horses love children and have been helping to educate them about animals, nature and their own strengths/confidence since 2022.
Meet Delta and Mia, the mares (female horses) who are going to make your farm visits extra special 🤠. These girls love to be groomed (brushed) and around people, especially children. It is heartwarming to see Mia and Delta be extremely soft and gentle with the little hands around them. They have very different personalities, which we’re excited for you to learn about. Get ready for belly laughs and developing a deep love for these 2!
We want your visits to be pressure free, there’s no obligation to ride or touch the mares. Some might prefer to watch them and observe their massive beauty, movements and ways of living. We set up outdoor Play stations right by their paddocks, allowing children to explore the materials and feel connected with the animals.

Meet our kids, 2 adorable baby boy goats (whether is the proper term for a male goat that’s Castrated which our boys are, a male goat as his goods he’s called a Buck) 🐐Toby Keith is the white and light brown goat and Willie Nelson is the darker goat. They’re starting to grow their little horns which just adds to their cuteness. Toby is super sweet and calm, loves to be snuggled. Willie is extremely playful and little more wild but adores people, children and scratches. They move home soon and will be adding so much entertainment to our farm.
Tiffany has seen firsthand how being outdoors provides children with educational, physical and emotional outlets that support their development. Child development extends beyond the walls of a classroom, and there has been extensive research on Outdoor Play and its benefits. The farm animals provide tons of entertainment, new ideas, inquiries and a special kind of love.
Cost $100 for 1.5 hours.
The activities your family will get to experience are:
* Horse Grooming/ Brushing and getting to know Delta and Mia.
* Leaded horse ride (optional, I usually see how the child feels during our session together as I want it to be a safe and positive experience for your family and my horses )
* goat snuggles and play time – they are only a month and a half old, so just babies… they move home in 2 weeks!!
